Ukrainian embassy celebrates Independence Day
A 20-meter-long Ukrainian flag adorns the Embassy of Ukraine in Yongsan District, central Seoul, Aug. 23, on the occasion of National Flag Day. Despite ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine for the past year and a half, the embassy also celebrated Ukraine's Independence Day on Aug. 24. The embassy honored the men and women fighting for Ukraine's future and acknowledged in a statement the value of international support in protecting the nation's territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty.
