Korea to send humanitarian aid to quake-ravaged China

Korea will soon send humanitarian aid to disaster victims in southwestern China, which was rocked by twin earthquakes that killed at least 81 people, officials said Tuesday.

Seoul has been in consultations with Beijing to deliver relief goods worth US$500,000 to the affected areas in Guizhou and Yunnan provinces, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

At least 81 people were killed and hundreds of thousands of people were displaced in the quakes last Friday, according to the statement. (Yonhap)
