Actress Ko So-young, 42, has canceled a contract for a TV commercial for a Japanese company that has a money-lending business.

Ko was criticized for shooting the commercial for Japanese company “J Trust Group,” which has several subsidiaries that lend money with interest as high as 29.2 percent.

The actress has made a few commercials since she married actor Jang Dong-gun in 2010.

Ko said the company had agreed to cancel the contract and she was sorry to have worried fans. She said she did not pay enough attention to the commercial until media reports about the company.

Ko debuted in 1992 in a KBS TV series. She has only appeared in TV commercials in the past eight years.
