Trot singer Na Hoon-a will hold Christmas concerts in Seoul, Daegu and Busan in December, following his sensational TV concert which aired on KBS2 on the eve of the Chuseok holiday in September.

Starting Dec. 12 at BEXCO, Busan, his agency Yearah said, the singer will perform a total of 16 times, twice a day, in the three big cities, as part of the “Na Hoon-a: Brother Tes Jingle Bell Concert” tour.

“Previously his concerts were called 'filial events' because many of his fans are elderly people and their children book tickets for their parents. Through his new album, he was able to expand his fandom to the younger generation and they reacted explosively to his new songs,” the agency said in a press release. “Due to the expanded fandom, his concerts will be something that every generation can enjoy.”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organizer said seats will be assigned in accordance with the social distancing regulations.

Na released a new album, titled “A Tale of Nine Stories,” in August. Some of his new songs, such as “Brother Tes,” went viral on the internet after his Chuseok concerts.

“Brother Tes” uploaded on Danal Entertainment's YouTube channel had nearly 10 million views as of Monday.

Together with his easy-to-follow new songs, the singer's open criticism about some unspecified politicians made him a star during the Chuseok holiday.

Na's Christmas concerts will be held on Dec. 12-13 in Busan, then in Seoul on Dec. 18-20. His last round of concerts will be held on Dec. 25-27 in Daegu.

Ticketing will begin on Nov. 17 for Busan concerts, Nov. 24 for Seoul concerts and Dec. 1 for Daegu concerts.

His concerts are notorious for selling out early. Insiders say tickets for his Christmas concerts will be even harder to get, considering his durable popularity that has continued since his Chuseok concerts.
