While an increasing number of K-pop groups are choosing to debut quicker and leaner under smaller lineups, Modhaus’ mega boy band project idntt is moving in the opposite direction.

The expanding boy group project officially scaled up to 15 members on Monday with the launch of its second unit, yesweare, taking another step toward its final lineup.

Developed by Modhaus, the company behind girl group tripleS, idntt is designed as a gradual rollout toward its final 24-member lineup. The structure began taking shape last August with the debut of unevermet, a seven-member unit that served as the introduction to idntt.

This week, the project moved into its next chapter as the eight-member yesweare joined idntt’s lineup, bringing the group to 15 members ahead of a still-unrevealed final unit, itsnotover, which will complete the full roster.

To mark the expansion, idntt released the album “yesweare” on Monday, beginning its promotions as a 15-member team. Hours before the album drop, all 15 members gathered at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul, for a press event introducing the project’s second phase.

All 15 members were in attendance, including unevermet members Kim Do-hun, Kim Hee-ju, Choi Tae-in, Lee Jae-young, Kim Ju-ho, Nam Ji-woon and Lee Hwan-hee, as well as yesweare members Lee Cheong-myeong, Towa, Lee Kyu-hyuk, Park Nu-ri, Kim Seong-jun, Han Ye-joon, Choi Gyeong-been and Hwang Eun-soo.

Members who had already promoted as unevermet described the addition of eight new members as a turning point rather than a simple increase in personnel.

“With seven members, the stage already felt full,” unevermet’s Kim Hee-ju said at the event. “With eight more, we can show mega-crew performances on a much larger scale. The energy and impact are completely different.”

Kim Do-hun acknowledged that the transition wasn’t easy, but said the group’s cohesion only strengthened with time.

“As we practiced more, our teamwork came together and we became more unified. On stage, that creates a sense of overwhelming power. I think that strong presence is our biggest strength.”

That shift is reflected in the eponymous new album, “yesweare,” which moves away from unevermet’s debut themes of discovery toward a more confident attitude.

Its title track, “Pretty Boy Swag,” combines bass, electronic guitar and brass, pairing groovy instrumentals with large-scale synchronized choreography built for all 15 members.

The five-track album also includes the electronic-driven “BOYS”; “Yes We Are,” which highlights the newly debuted members; the electronic dance track “Rage Problem”; and “Moon Burn,” which draws from jackin’ house influences.

As a multimember group, idntt finds strength in its variety.

“With so many members, everyone brings their own individuality. That’s why we believe our identity is diversity,” Lee Cheong-myeong said.

That sense of internal support was echoed by the yesweare members, who credited unevermet for helping them through the debut process. Towa, the unit’s sole Japanese member, said the guidance he received was especially meaningful as he navigated language barriers.

“My Korean wasn’t very good at first, but the members helped me constantly,” he said, adding that support from his family also played an important role.

While yesweare establishes idntt’s 15-member formation, the project remains in progress, according to Nam Ji-woon.

“The members who haven’t been revealed yet are training and preparing to join us,” he said, signaling that idntt’s most ambitious phase is still to come.
