By Lee Gyu-lee Singer Kim Sung-gyun, better known by the stage name Sunggyu of K-pop boy group Infinite, is gearing up to release his last project with long-time agency Woolim Entertainment. The agency unveiled a teaser image of his upcoming song, “Won't Forget You,” on its social media Saturday. The single, set to hit streaming sites on March 29, is intended to highlight his 11-year career with the company.
“As this is the last solo single Sunggyu will release under Woolim, we have invested our full support,” the agency said. “We ask for your support and love for 'Won't Forget You.'” The agency announced early this month that they both agreed not to renew the singer's contract after a long discussion. Sunggyu debuted as the leader of the then-seven-piece group, Infinite, in 2010. The group released a string of hits, including “Be Mine” (2011) and “Before The Dawn (BTD)” (2013). All of the members, except for Hoya, renewed their contract with the agency in 2017, continuing with its group activity as a sextet. He also made his solo debut in 2012 with the album, “Another Me,” and has taken part in soundtracks for various TV shows such as tvN's “Oh My Baby.” He also made his way into musicals, taking lead roles in “Kinky Boots” and “Amadeus.”
