Everybody has his/her day ― at least once in life.
Members of K-pop girl band LOVELYZ said “now is the moment” for them, expressing their high spirits in the new song “Beautiful Days.”
"The song captures our prettiest look in the most beautiful time,” said Lee Mi-joo, LOVELYZ's main dancer, in a bright red dress during a showcase for the group's new album “Once Upon A Time” at Blue Square, Seoul, Monday.
"The concept of the song (“Beautiful Days”) is literally our days of looking pretty. I'm excited to meet our fans when we look the most beautiful.”
She said bright red signified the “intensity” of their emotion.
“Once Upon A Time” is the band's sixth mini-album. It has six songs covering a wide musical spectrum ― from medium-tempo pop to ballad. The eight-piece band ― JIN, Seo Ji-soo, Yoo Ji-ae, Ryu Su-jeong, Kei, Jeong Ye-in, Baby Soul and Lee Mi-joo ― debuted in 2014. It earned popularity with the award-winning dance song “Ah-Choo” (2015).
“The main theme for this album is 'love' of all sorts,” said Ryu Su-jeong. “The breakup, beginning love and first love are depicted in LOVELYZ's unique color. We hope to bring people back to their happiest time in love through the songs.”

Baby Soul said the album gave band members the “feeling of being at a new starting point.”
“The idiom 'Once Upon A Time' is usually in place in the very first part of a story to tell a story from the past,” Lee Mi-joo said. “I've come to realize how mature we have become over the course of the past five years.”
