Korean actress Lee Young-ae, 48, might appear in a famed Iranian director's movie, according to an OSEN report, Wednesday.
The report said Ghorban Mohammadpour recently visited Korea to cast Lee for his work.
Known for his flagship film “Salaam Mumbai,” the director is one of the most recognized filmmakers and screenwriters in Bollywood.
Reportedly, he attempted to contact Lee with the help of the Embassy of Iran and finally met her.
Whether the actress will appear in her first foreign work since her debut in 1990 is now the subject of much speculation.
Lee starred in the hit TV drama “Dae Jang Geum,” also known as “Jewel in the Palace,” in 2004. The series propelled her to stardom, making her a leading hallyu, or Korean wave, celebrity.
