American pop group The Click Five is coming to town next month for their second visit to Seoul.
The band, consisting of five members ― Kyle Patrick (vocals), Joseph Guese (guitar), Ethan Mentzer (bass), Joel Zehr (drums) and Benjamin Romans (keyboard) ― was formed in 2003.
Four of the five original members studied at the Berklee College of Music and worked in many other rock bands before forming The Click, which later became The Click Five.
The band recorded their first album, ``Greetings From Imrie House'' in 2005 with veteran producer Mike Deneen, who has worked with renowned artists such as Aimee Mann, Fountains of Wayne and Letters to Cleo among others.
Their first single ``Just The Girl'' ranked 15th on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. About 350,000 copies of the album have been sold in the United States alone.
After releasing the first album, vocalist Eric Dill went solo and new vocalist Patrick joined the band.
The band released its second album, ``Modern Minds and Pastimes,'' with the new vocalist in 2007.
``Jenny,'' a single from their second album, gained enormous popularity, particularly in Asian countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore.
The band's first Korean concert, in November last year, was a huge success.
The upcoming concert is part of the band's Asian tour.
Korean punk rock group The Strikers will be the opening act.
The concert will be at Sangsang Madang Live Hall near Hongik University on May 27.
Tickets cost 30,000 to 35,000 won. For more information, call 1544-1555, (02) 3444-9969 or visit www.yellownine.co.kr.
