The Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra will bring back its highly acclaimed unique interpretations of baroque music to a concert on June 26 at Seoul Arts Center.

It will be the orchestra's first return since 2005 when it visited the nation as part of a tour commemorating the 60th anniversary of its foundation in 1945.

Featuring violinist Benjamin Hudson and cembalist Joerg Halubek as soloists, the concert will feature many Bach works, which the orchestra is best known for its original and superb interpretations of.

The program includes Four Fugues out of ``The Art of the Fugue'' (BWV 1080), Cembalo Concerto in D Minor (BWV 1052), Brandenburg Concerto No.3, parts of ``Goldberg Variations'' (BWV 988) and Concerto for 3 Violins in D Major (BWV 1064 R).

Comprising 16 musicians, the orchestra has established a reputation for its Bach interpretations and has attempted to liberate the music from the influence of the Romantic Age ever since it was founded by Karl Munchinger in 1945. The success of the Orchestra resulted in its frequent invitation to celebrated festivals all over the world including Salzburg, Edinburgh, Prague Spring and Colmar festivals.

Hudson, 57, has been concertmaster of the orchestra since 1995. He has appeared numerous times as soloist and director with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchesta and has recorded the Bach Brandenburg Concerti and the complete Bach Violin Concerti.

Halubek, 30, became a rising star after winning First Prize at the 14th International Bach Competition in Leipzig in 2004. He has been teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart since 2003 and at the University of Music in Karlsruhe since 2005.

Tickets cost from 30,000 won to 120,000 won. For more information, call (02) 2068-8000, 1588-7890 or 1544-1555.
