Sci-fi movie “Tenet” has dominated box office in Korea for 11 consecutive days as of Saturday, the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) said.

The council said the film drew 93,190 theatergoers that day, outperforming the comedy "Oh! My Gran" (42,527) and the crime-action movie "Deliver Us From Evil” (11,633).

Tenet has been topping the box office since its opening on Aug. 26, selling 977,062 tickets in total. It is expected to reach a cumulative audience of 1 million on Sunday, despite a fall in daily moviegoers triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film revolves around a CIA agent ― played by John David Washington ― who should manipulate the flow of time to avert World War III. It also features Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki.

Christopher Nolan, who was behind the success of the sci-fi film “Inception” (2010), wrote and directed the flick.
