Celebration of Liberation Day

S-Oil marks the upcoming Liberation Day by hanging a giant banner bearing an image of the national flag outside of its head office in Mapo, Seoul, Wednesday. The 33-meter-wide, 18-meter-tall banner will be displayed until the end of the month. Many big companies have their main buildings covered with the national flag to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea’s independence from Japan’s 1910-45 colonial rule, which falls on Aug. 15. / Courtesy of S-Oil
