Samsung Galaxy Note2
Samsung Electronics’ latest phablet, the Galaxy Note II is a stylish, powerful and revolutionary consumer device that provides its users with creative choices.
The Note II has a bigger display screen than Samsung’s most advanced smartphone ― the Galaxy S III. But the extra display equipped with a stylus known as the S Pen is a perfect fit with consumer demand for vivid images and real-time clips.
Simply put, the Note II is a massive modern smartphone, but in a market full of choices, being bigger doesn’t necessarily matter.
Many were initially skeptical about whether the majority of consumers would really want their main phone to be so ``big’’. But one simple fact ― over 10 million Notes were sold ― indicating that there is a market for this class of device.
Impressed by the success of the Notes, Samsung is ready to roll out another model ― tentatively named the Galaxy Note III ― at some time within the next year.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Note 2 is state of the art. It packs an impressive 5.5-inch high-definition ``Super AMOLED’’ display with 1280x720 pixels, moving it a step-up from its predecessor that had a 5.3-inch screen with less resolution.
And even with this slight screen size increase, the Note II is still convenient to carry around and can easily fit inside a jacket pocket.
The Samsung phablet is also equipped with a much more powerful ``Exynos 4412’’ quad-core 1.6GHz application processor that enables the device to operate fast.
These aren’t the only strengths of the Note II. Inside the display, there are attractive fun applications on which to draw and write and the so-called ``Quick Command’’ is interesting because tasks according to user interests can be performed by writing commands with the embedded S-Pen.
The Note II can sense when the S Pen has been removed from its holder, which was novel. Other than the S Pen being a cool extra, its full potential has not yet been fully utilized.
In terms of battery lifespan, perhaps the critical point for almost all users of data-intensive smartphones, the Note II contains a big 3100 mAh battery.
According to normal daily use ― with some music, loads of browsing and reading and generally lots of on-screen online activity ― the Note II can easily last for two days.
It’s no exaggeration to say that the Note II is pretty much better than the Note I and for consumers the device is great for accessing maps and navigating to wherever the user wants to go.
