Global logistics company Hyundai Glovis has begun shipping Kundal beauty products overseas, bolstering its push to become a trusted logistics partner for K-beauty companies targeting international markets.
The Hyundai Motor Group subsidiary said Monday it has signed a third-party logistics service agreement with The Skin Factory, the operator of Kundal. Kundal is a haircare and body-care brand under the Seoul-based beauty firm.
Under the agreement, Hyundai Glovis has begun providing end-to-end logistics services for Kundal and other brands under The Skin Factory, including inventory stocking, storage, packaging and shipping. The company said it has leased an automated logistics center in the Seoul metropolitan area to serve as a hub for the comprehensive logistics operation.
Hyundai Glovis declined to disclose the exact location of the logistics center, citing confidentiality terms in its agreement with The Skin Factory.
Equipped with automated guided vehicles and other unmanned systems, the center can respond quickly to surging volumes of small-quantity shipment orders — a characteristic feature of the e-commerce-driven beauty market — according to Hyundai Glovis.
Starting with The Skin Factory, Hyundai Glovis aims to provide end-to-end export logistics services for Korean beauty companies, handling international customs clearance and cross-border transportation by sea, air and land. This effort is part of the company’s broader goal to establish a “one-stop logistics platform” by leveraging its domestic hubs and global transportation network.
Hyundai Glovis expects continued growth in the K-beauty industry to drive rising demand for specialized logistics solutions. Citing U.S.-based market research firm Allied Market Research, the company said the global K-beauty market is projected to reach $13.9 billion by the end of 2027.
“With our new automated facility, we can provide flexible and stable logistics services for beauty products, which often face volatile and unpredictable demand,” a Hyundai Glovis official said. “This will help improve our clients’ productivity while reducing logistics costs.”
