Porsche Korea opened its innovative service center in Seoul on Wednesday to enhance its brand value and provide cutting-edge after-sales services in the era of electrification, the local subsidiary of the German luxury carmaker said.

The Porsche Service Center Seongsu is located in the capital city’s trendiest area of Seongsu-dong in Seongdong District.

Porsche Korea said that the opening of the service center reaffirms the carmaker’s commitment to sustainable growth in the Korean market, as the facility is one of the largest of its kind in Asia.

The center emphasizes eco-friendliness by incorporating a range of energy-efficient infrastructure. The 11-story service center can repair more than 90 vehicles on average each day, the highest capacity among service centers nationwide, according to the carmaker.

Following the opening of the service center in Seongsu-dong, the carmaker plans to establish more service facilities across the nation. It is also set to open a service center on Jeju Island in the future in response to the growing popularity of Porsche vehicles in Korea.

“While 2025 is expected to be another dynamic year, we remain optimistic, driven by a stronger product lineup tailored to the Korean market,” Porsche Korea CEO Mathias Busse told reporters during a press conference celebrating the facility's opening.

He underscored the carmaker’s dual growth strategy both in terms of sales growth and customer experiences.

“We are focused on value-oriented sales, and this includes strengthening marketing experiences for our fans and expanding our nationwide network and enhancing after-sale services, all of which are aimed at delivering exceptional brand experiences,” he said.

Porsche Korea also shared its strategy of expanding charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) as part of its electric mobility strategy. Under the vision, the carmaker pledged to expand investment to hire more experienced repair specialists for EVs.

“Our professional technicians and experts on site for Korea will continue to build strong and sustainable partnerships with the Korean market,” he said.

The drive reflects Porsche Korea’s planned introduction of new EV models for the Korean market this year. The carmaker will launch its flagship Taycan Turbo GT as well as other vehicles with diverse powertrains.

Porsche Korea achieved solid sales of 8,284 vehicles in 2024 despite the global auto industry facing a downturn due to economic uncertainties.
