KOIMA to send delegation to Turkey, Romania

The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) said Wednesday it will send a delegation to Turkey and Romania to seek diversification of global supply chains and balanced trade.
This is the first time in two years for the association to send a delegation to other countries.
KOIMA Chairman Kim Byung-kwan, who will lead the delegation, plans to meet with Mustafa Gultepe, head of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, and sign a memorandum of understanding to boost trade among companies of both countries.
Kim is also scheduled to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to discuss measures for improving the trade imbalance between the two countries.
In addition, the KOIMA chief will meet with heads of Turkish institutions dealing with raw materials and energy, in order to talk about the trading of certain products that can improve supply chain resiliency.
During his visit to Romania, Kim will have meetings with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Petre Daea, Vice Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism Angel Iulian Calin and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania Chairman Mihai Daraban.
