The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) is recruiting people talented in game development for entry to its 2021 training program ― which helps people find jobs in the game industry ― run at its institute.

“The game institute training program has scored 'excellent' in a Ministry of Employment and Labor review, for its importance, high-quality education and well-maintenance curriculum,” Kim Hyuk-soo, head of the agency's game division, said in a statement, Tuesday. “We will continue to provide support for the industry and young people to pursue the jobs they want through this program.

This year's program will admit 65 trainees in three categories: game planning, game art design, and game programming. The application process will run through July 22 and is open to anyone interested in working or starting their own business in the game industry.

The selected trainees will begin the program in September and go through two years of training, five days a week. They will be offered a full scholarship of the training program, a chance to compete in local and overseas video game conferences, internships at big gaming companies, and financial aid for game developing projects.

The program, which was started in 2019, will see its first graduates this August. Of these, eight people have already been offered jobs at various game companies, including Netmarble F&C, Krafton, and Neople, a subsidiary of Nexon.

KOCCA is also holding an exhibition of the graduates' projects, which will showcase the games they developed and their artwork.
