CBRE Korea, a local unit of a Los Angeles-based commercial real estate services company, has won a bid to manage the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, the company said Tuesday.

Management services include improving its profitability and asset value, it added.

The FKI Tower is a 50-story prime office building on 168,681 square meters of land located in the center of Yeouido.

Due to its easy access to central Seoul and Gangnam and business facilities equipped with a large conference center, it has attracted a number of tenants.

“CBRE Korea has been in charge of leasing the FKI Tower since 2014, and now has expanded its scope to property management services,” said Yang Seung-hwa, senior director of asset services at CBRE Korea.

“In order to fill recent vacancies due to the relocation of LG affiliates, CBRE Korea is actively seeking multinational and local companies as tenants, while raising the service quality to elevate tenant satisfaction and enhance competitiveness.”

CBRE Korea also aims to reduce energy consumption and improve the surrounding landscape to further create an eco-friendly work environment.

It plans to upgrade the current retail space, which focuses mainly on convenience, and offer a variety of retail stores.

The real estate company currently provides property management services for major domestic commercial properties such as Gangnam Finance Center, Gwanghwamun D-Tower and The-K Twin Towers.
