Rebate Ban to Roil Drug Industry

One may expect an old hand like Huh Kang, chairman of Samil Pharm, to be quite emotional about the drug industry nowadays, considering all sorts of troubles befalling it.

However, the 55-year-old leader of the pharmaceutical firm, the oldest in the nation, didn't use his chance to speak with The Korea Times to bash his indigenous and multinational competitors or toughening government regulations.

``A good businessman can't blame external circumstances for a poor performance,'' said Huh in a rare interview, Wednesday.
