Standard Chartered Bank Korea is launching its new mobile-based credit loan service, through which customers can browse a range of loan products with varying interest rates at a glance, without the need to visit a physical branch for a consultation.

According to the bank, customers only need to enter basic information about themselves into the bank's mobile app to easily browse detailed information about the bank's varied credit loan products available to them.

The service streamlines the mobile banking app's interface and processes, bringing greater convenience to its previously rather convoluted procedures required to address borrowers' inquiries regarding the bank's various available loan products, including their interest rates and loan limits. Through the enhanced service, customers can now simultaneously browse the various loan products in one application.

The mobile loan service of SC Bank Korea can also recommend multi-layered loans, through which bank customers could get more than one type of loan product from the bank with the total amount of the loan extending up to 250 million won ($216,000). The loan portfolio will offer customers a chance to optimize loan products to their own budgets, and they can freely choose whatever loan products they want through the banking app.

“Based on differentiated digital technology and global loan review procedures, the bank has developed a comprehensive mobile loan system that integrates the bank's various loan products. Users can now browse the information at a glance,” a high-ranking official from the bank explained.

“The new loan service will provide a chance to be introduced to their optimal and loan products with reasonable terms, particularly for customers who find it hard to make time for visiting banks due to busy schedules,” the official added.

Details of the mobile loan service can be found through SC Bank Korea's banking app.

SC Bank Korea's innovative app-based loan consultation program well reflects the current market trend in which more and more credit loan products are finalized through online-only channels. As the presence of the country's internet-only banks, such as KakaoBank, K bank and Toss Bank, is taking an increasingly big market share here, with more customers preferring convenient work processes, the task to offer enhanced mobile services for users is of paramount importance.
