Orix Buffaloes finally relegated their Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop to the second tier league in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), Monday. According to the Japanese press, the team ordered Lee to drop down a level after Sunday’s game finished.

Suwon BlueWings and Jeonbuk Motors reached the round of 16 in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Tuesday. The Motors, currently leading Group G, beat China’s Shandong Luneng 2-1 in a road game thanks to former Korean national team striker Lee Dong-gook’s two goals. Suwon secured a 3-1 home win against Sydney FC in Group H.

Ryu completes game for 80th victory
The best Korean left-handed hurler Ryu Hyun-jin of the Hanwha Eagles announced a return to form completing the game for a 3-1 away victory against the Samsung Lions in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), Sunday. At Daegu Stadium, Ryu dubbed “Monster” stood at the mound from start to finish for his 80th win in the KBO, allowing only four hits and one run.
