서기 3000년을 배경으로 한 인기 만화 '퓨쳐라마'에 나오는 미래 의사 캐릭터를 닮았다고 말하는 네티즌들도 있고, 영화 '캐리비안의 해적'에 등장하는 반인반수 괴물이라는 주장을 펼치는 이들도 존재한다고.
실제로 존재했던 외계인의 모습인지, 낡은 흑백 사진 효과를 이용한 단순한 포샵 사진인지 여부는 불분명하다고 이 보도는 전했다.
