Audi Korea officially launched its first compact pure electric sports utility vehicle (SUV), the new Audi Q4 e-tron and the new Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron in Korea and is scheduled to start sales on Sept. 19, according to the company, Tuesday.
The company held "The new Audi Q4 e-tron Media Conference" and revealed their latest EV models at Four Season Hotel Seoul, Tuesday.
The models were released in two trims, a basic model and a premium one, equipped with MEB, an electric vehicle-only platform jointly developed with the Volkswagen Group and applied for the first time.
According to Audi Korea, the turning radius was reduced to 10.2m by extending the steering angle of the front wheel with the MEB platform.

The Q4 e-tron has a total length of 4590 mm, a total width of 1,865 mm and a total height of 1,640 mm.
The vehicles reach maximum 295 horsepower output, maximum torque of 31.6 kgm and can reach a maximum speed of 180 km.
Equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 82 kWh, the combined range of the Q4-e tron is 368 km and the Q4 Sportback e-tron is 357 km, respectively, on a single charge.
"The Audi Q4 e-tron is a compact segment electric SUV, but the interior space is similar to that of the mid-size SUV Q5," Audi Korea CEO Lim Hyun-ki said. "We will lead efforts for the popularization of premium electric vehicles through the Q4 e-tron."
Lim was appointed as the first Korean CEO of Audi Korea in July.
The new Audi Q4 e-tron price stands at 59.7 million won ($43,470) and the premium is 66.7 million won. The price of the new Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron is 63.7 million won and the premium is 70.7 million won.
