Kia Motors said Sunday that more than 5,000 pre-orders for the remodeled Carnival have been made in the two days since the firm unveiled the new minivan last Friday.
This already exceeds its monthly sales target of 4,000 units.
"We received 3,700 pre-orders on the first day when we started to take them, and 1,300 orders were made the next day," said an official at Kia Motors.
The official said it will launch a variety of promotion programs, including a test-driving event and provision of insurance benefits in partnership with Hyundai Life, affiliates of Hyundai Motor Group.
The All New Carnival, is the replacement for the 9-year-old model, and offers more space with its unique pop-up seats and upgraded sporty design.
