Formula E, the organizer of the Seoul E-Prix, said Thursday that the preparation process for Korea's first-ever electric vehicle (EV) racing competition is going smoothly without a hitch and that both participating teams and organizers are doing their best to hold an event that can satisfy racing fans in Seoul and all around the world.
"Every team is working hard to ensure they can have the best action on track. The track is absolutely ready to go, as I took a look at the track this morning and it was fantastic," Anna Rota, a media officer of Formula E, said during a media tour for the Seoul E-Prix.
"Seoul is an iconic location and the event will be held at a center of the iconic city. The teams have done an incredible job to get the event planning done and execute it. We were also so happy to work with the local authorities here in Seoul. These things all came together right and give me so much pride and I cannot wait to see what it's going to look like on Saturday," the officer said.

This weekend, 22 drivers from 11 teams will race around the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, where the 1988 Summer Olympics took place. Global carmakers such as Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and Porsche will flaunt their advanced EV technologies and teams' driving skills during the two-day event.
Not only the main racing event, but also various side events were being held around the stadium for racing fans and visitors.

Companies such as Samsung Electronics have installed large-sized promotional booths enabling visitors to the event to check out their latest gadgets, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones. In addition, there were many things for visitors to enjoy, such as video racing games.
"It rained a lot all week, but surprisingly it is very hot today. Korea's summer is very humid, but I hope the competition goes well without any problems," a part-time guide at the stadium said.
