Congratulations on the 70th anniversary of The Korea Times.

I have read The Korea Times since 2012. Though it has not been that long, reading the newspaper has become my daily routine now. The Korea Times has been a great teacher for me as I learn how to express ideas in English.

As a businessman doing civil engineering projects, the business section has always been my favorite, providing me with insight into what's happening in both domestic and overseas industry circles. As a reader, I have noticed a significant growth in its coverage of national affairs and cultural issues as well.

I think there are many parallels with The Korea Times and the history of the Republic of Korea as the paper was launched during the 1950-1953 Korean War and has witnessed the many obstacles South Korea has overcome to become an advanced and democratic nation.

What I wish to see from The Korea Times is more in-depth exploration of ideas that can extend the scope of its readers' points of view and more interviews from experts in various fields.

Though people read newspapers less frequently due to the development of information technology, I believe there is still room for growth in the media industry. For the further development of the paper, I also hope that The Korea Times can grow into a platform where Koreans and non-Koreans can communicate with each other and share ideas.

I believe this will make the newspaper more global and attract more readers outside the country. By doing so, I hope The Korea Times will raise its status as a respected source for people across the world for the next 70 or so years.
