’UFO spotted in the sky above downtown Seoul’

A tiny unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted in the sky above Seoul.

Kim Se-hyeon, 41, an interior project manager, saw the object, while taking pictures of the skyline around the main office building of Citibank in Jongno at 12:51, Aug. 24.

He sent the photo to a UFO analysis center in Seoul to check what the small object in the photo was.

“It is highly probable that it will be a UFO when we get the outcome of the analysis made by both local and foreign photo experts,” said the center last Saturday.
“The UFO was pictured stably enough for the image not to be blurred,” said Seo Jong-han, chief of the center. “When focus is compared, the definition of the object is similar to that of the sky above the building.”

“This means that it is far away. In other words, it is quite different from a bird or insect pictured close up,” he said. “It seems to be an artificial structure when the object is closely checked.”

“Hooh! Why it is in the Seoul sky?” “It’s really fine!” and “It’s terrible as there is no manipulation” are among comments by netizens.
Meanwhile, there was circulation of video image taken of a presumed UFO in a residential area of Daejeon on Aug. 11.

“헉! 서울에는 무슨 일로?” 서울 도심 상공에 UFO로 추정되는 물체가 찍힌 사진이 공개돼 눈길을 끌고 있다. 지난달 24일 오후 12시 51분께 김세현 씨(41, 인테리어 프로젝트 매니저)는 업무와 관련해 종로 쪽에 위치한 시티은행 본사 건물을 배경으로 사진 촬영을 하다 UFO를 포착했다. 사진을 확인 후 UFO라고 의심이 든 김 씨는 UFO조사분석센터에 사진 분석을 의뢰한 것. 이에 지난 3일 UFO조사분석센터는 “이 사진에 대해 국내외 사진 전문가에게 분석을 의뢰한 결과 미확인 비행물체(UFO)일 가능성이 높다”고 밝혔다. 또한 UFO조사분석센터 서종한 서장은 보고서를 통해 “촬영 당시 미확인 물체는 매우 안정적인 상태로 찍혀 선명도가 흐트러짐 없이 나올 수 있게 됐다”며 “초점상태를 비교해보면 건물 배경 뒤 쪽의 상태와 비슷하다”고 설명했다. 이어 “이것은 물체가 멀리 떨어져 있다는 것을 말하며 가까운 거리 내에서 찍힌 새나 곤충류와는 다르다. 형태를 면밀히 살펴본 결과 인공적인 구조체로 보인다”고 덧붙였다. 사진을 본 네티즌들은 “헉! 서울에는 무슨 일로?”, “진짜 선명하다!”, “조작 흔적이 없다니 무섭다” 등의 반응을 보였다. 한편 지난달 11일에는 대전 도심 주택가에 UFO로 추정되는 물체가 찍힌 영상이 공개돼 화제가 됐다.
