NASA selected the winning model design for Mars expedition, said the New York Daily News on Thursday.
The selected design, called "Technology," features glowing patches and luminescent wires for high visibility.
The design won a public contest organized by NASA with an overwhelming 200,000 votes.
The flashy suit is now being worked on at NASA and is expected to debut in November. It will go under vacuum chamber tests at Johnson Space Center in Houston to examine its effectiveness in zero gravity.
"With the agency laser-focused on a path to Mars, work to develop the technologies astronauts will one day use to live and work on Mars has already begun," NASA announced.
NASA plans to land astronauts on Mars by 2030.
