Volvo Car Korea unveiled the new S60 and V60 Cross Country in Korea at the Westin Josun Seoul hotel, Tuesday.
The S60 is a flagship model designed based on the company's Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, and is a key vehicle targeting the mid-size premium segment along with the global best-selling XC60, according to the company.
This S60, newly introduced three years after the previous one, offers a more personalized user experience through a digital package based on the Google Android Automotive OS, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) sensor platform.
"Volvo Cars Korea is perhaps our most remarkable market in the world," said Nick Connor, head of Volvo Cars APEC. "This is the only market in Volvo to have 10 years of consecutive growth. I believe this is the fastest-growing premium brand in Korea which is an interesting statistic. Through the connectivity service and the best convenience features and safety technology, you will be able to experience the better value of life that Swedish luxury offers."
One of the key changes in the S60 and V60 Cross Country is the advanced connectivity service that completes a new digital experience connecting the car and driver.

It is equipped with advanced infotainment services that integrate TMap Auto, NUGU Auto and FLO based on Google's Android Automotive OS as standard. The vehicles are equipped with the ADAS sensor platform, a scalable active safety system comprising of an array of radar, camera and ultrasonic sensors.
In Korea, both models will be released with a combination of a 250-horsepower mild hybrid engine based on a gasoline engine and 8-speed transmission. The V60 Cross Country adds an AWD system that supports stable traction regardless of terrain or weather.
"The S60 and V60 Cross Country are representative models that go beyond safety and have high-performance features offered by Swedish luxury," said Lee Yoon-mo, CEO of Volvo Car Korea.
The domestic selling price of the new S60 is 56.1 million won ($39,200), and the V60 Cross Country costs 55.3 million won.
