Samsung Electronics will unveil the next Galaxy S flagship phones in addition to a new foldable smartphone at an event scheduled for Feb. 11 in San Francisco, the Korean tech giant said Sunday.
In an invitation sent to global media and partner companies, the company said, "Samsung Electronics will unveil new, innovative devices that will shape the next decade of mobile experiences."
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will take place at the San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts at 11 a.m. (local time).
The company is set to unveil the sequel to the Galaxy S10, with industry officials expecting the firm to name the upcoming flagship the Galaxy S20, instead of the Galaxy S11, to mark the year 2020.
The Galaxy S20, which is expected to be available in three sizes ― 6.3 inches, 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches, has been rumored to offer a 108-megapixel camera. The renders and picture of the devices have also suggested that the new device could have five cameras, or five sensors, on the rear.
Along with the latest model of the Galaxy S series, Samsung is expected to unveil a new foldable smartphone that becomes nearly square when folded. This will be the firm's second foldable smartphone.
The company released the Galaxy Fold that users can fold like a book in Korea on Sept. 6 and in France, the United Kingdom and other countries later that month, and has enjoyed a better-than-expected response from consumers worldwide as the new device delivers a new user experience with its large foldable screen.
