    Rescue workers were to resume their search Monday for two people missing in the deadly capsizing of a fishing boat off the west coast of Incheon a day earlier that claimed the lives of 13 people.

    Thirteen people died, two are missing and seven injured after a recreational fishing vessel was involved in a collision with a tanker off Incheon, west of Seoul on Sunday. The 9.77-ton boat _ carrying 22 people, including two crew _ capsized after the collision with the 336-ton tanker near the Yeongheung Bridge at 6:12 a.m. on Sunday.

    Gov't confirms soil liquefaction in Pohang
    The government said Friday that it has found soil liquefaction in the earthquake-stricken city of Pohang. The Ministry of Interior and Safety said one area shows a high level of liquefaction, in which soil loses its strength, usually because of the quakes. However, it noted the situation is not “at a worrisome level,” considering the affected area is just a paddy.
