Korean defender gets marriage proposal at World Cup

Korean women’s national football team player Hwang Bo-ram has received a marriage proposal during the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

The defender received the proposal after her team tied with Costa Rica in Montreal on June 13.

The Korean Football Association’s official Twitter webpage on Monday posted two photos that showed three people holding posters saying “Bo-ram, will you marry me?”

The webpage said Hwang received the proposal from her boyfriend.

Korea beat Spain on Wednesday 2-1 and advanced to the round of 16.
