South Korea’s remarkable race in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Egypt was ended by Ghana in the quarterfinal.
Koreans, managed by Hong Myung-bo lost to Africans 3-2 in Suez, Saturday (KST).
South Koreans, who allowed a goal to Dominic Adiyiah in eighth minute, failed to defend their net from Ransford Osei in 28th minute.
However, the Asians answered by a goal in 31st minute. Korean defender Jung Dong-ho’s cross in the right side aimed to forward Park Hee-sung and his header found the net over Ghanian goalie Daniel Agyei
In the second half Korea dominated the ground, but a wrong pass was cut by Adiyiah and allowed a goal in 78th minute.
In the 82nd another cross by Korean defender Yun Suk-young produced Kim Dong-sub’s header for 3-2, but Koreans failed to change the result.
