South Korean Under-20 national team will meet France, host country Colombia and Mali in Group A of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 to be held from July 29 to Aug. 20 in local time.
At the official draw, held at the Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala Convention Center in the northern coastal city of Cartagena, Colombia, the 24 finalists learned their fate. The tournament will kick off with the match between Brazil and Egypt on July 29.
South Korea will face Mali in its first match on July 30 followed by France on Aug. 2 and Colombia on Aug. 5 in Bogota.
North Korea is in what appears to be the toughest group.
It was drawn with Argentina, winners of the U-20 World Cup the most times at six, along with Mexico and England in Group F.
Four time champion Brazil is in Group E with Egypt, Austria and Panama.
The U-20 World Cup began in 1977 as a biannual event and the 18th tournament will be held in eight Colombian cities.
