iPhone 4 won’t debut in Korea this month

For those loyal iPhone users in South Korea, the fact that Apple’s latest iPhone 4 will not debut in Korea later this month will be more than disappointing news.

Apple on Friday announced the list of 17 countries in which iPhone 4 will be released. And it didn’t include Korea.

According to Apple’s Steve Jobs, it would take some time for the new Apple product to get through legal procedures for approval from the Korean government, Yonhap news agency said on Saturday.

The 17 countries and regions where iPhone will debut this month include Canada, Australia, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Switzerland.

In August, Apple plans to announce additional 24 countries, followed by 40 countries in September where the new iPhone 4 will be available.

한국 아이폰4 출시 연기

한국의 열성 아이폰을 이용자들에게 애플사가 이번 아이폰4의 한국 출시 연기 발표는 실망이상이다. 아이폰4는 이달 말경 한국에 출시할 예정이었다.

애플사는 금요일 아이폰 4가 출시되는 17개국 명단을 발표했는데 한국은 제외시켰다.

연합 뉴스가 토요일 한국정부로부터 승인을 위한 법적 절차를 밟는데 시간이 좀 걸린다는 애플의 스티브 잡스의 말을 인용 보도했다.

이달 아이폰4의 출시 국가와 지역은 캐나다, 호주, 벨기에, 오스트리아, 덴마크, 홍콩, 아일랜드, 싱가포르, 뉴질랜드, 노르웨이, 스웨덴, 핀란드, 이탈리아, 룩샘부르크, 네덜란드 그리고 스위스이다.

애플은 8월 추가로 24개국에서 9월 40개국에서 출시할 계획이다.
