The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea is hosting a professional women's committee meeting Sept. 2, where the focus will be the global recession.
Guest speaker at the event ― which starts at 7 p.m. and being held at Grand Hyatt Seoul ― is Kwon Goo-hoon, the senior Korea economist with Goldman Sachs.
The topic being covered revolves around the title, ``Global Recession: Where We Are and Where We Are Headed." The areas of being covered are the global recession and Korea's export outlook; policy stimulus and domestic demand; and interest rate and exchange rate.
It is being dubbed an opportunity for professional women to acquire knowledge and insight in order to maintain competitiveness for both personal investment and career development.
