I read your article in the Korean Times with keen interest. l have lived and studied in Korea for about eight years, and followed the political situation in the country closely. Your article was a break from the media coverage of the current turmoil that has engulfed Korea for the past month.
l must admit that my knowledge is limited to the English language articles and discussions l have had with my Korean friends. The president has been judged and found guilty in the court of popular opinion. It is very fashionable to insult and call the president names in public, and anyone who holds a contrary opinion is ‘not patriotic' enough.
Your article is very unbiased and informative. I imagine some of the responses have not been very positive. But as a foreigner living in this country, and someone who owes this country a lot, l must commend your efforts. More power to your elbow. I am sure many people would love to read more of such articles.
