An article written by Lee Chang-sup on May 2 touches on the deepest part of the nation's heart, and my mind as an expat who dearly loves this country. It shows insight in the analysis and incompleteness in the resolution of the Sewol tragedy, which is the truth.
Can this single event shift a nation? It seems a multi-system, multi-level complex change process to increase public response and readiness for disasters is needed.
Yet if any nation needs readiness, it is this one to prepare for from internal weaknesses and external threats.
Can we stay with this topic for a while? I think it could stir opinion and help make a critical difference.
