I also saw the young singer Choi Sung-bong on television. He is magnificent. However I do not understand why a five-year-old child was left living on the street and sleeping in public toilets. This man has “raised” himself well in spite of all the hardships and temptations for crime offered to him. Are there other children abandoned on the streets of Korea?
Children need to eat every day and also need medical care and clothes. His story is shocking. Choi will go on to become an international star but no one can replace a stolen childhood and he is at high risk for suicide if he does not get level-headed with the sudden trappings of fame and money. He will live at both extremes of the spectrum. Can he make the jump successfully or will he be exploited?
This young man needs help and counseling so that he can go on living a normal life.
