FC Seoul has signed experienced Dutch international Kizito Musampa.

The club, which is fifth in the K-League standings, announced Wednesday that the two sides reached a two-year contract and the 30-year-old midfielder will join manager Senol Gunes' squad next week after getting his visa in Japan.

Musampa, who was born in Congo, began his professional career in 1994 with AFC Ajax in the Netherlands, where he scored six goals in 42 games during three seasons.

After that, he moved to France' Bordeaux, where he appeared 33 games and had five scores in two years.

Musampa then spent the prime of his career with Malaga in the Spanish Premera Liga. He appeared in 96 matches and found the net 22 times in his four-year stint in Spain.

Before joining the K-League club, Musampa played for four more teams, including Manchester City of the English Premier League from 2004-2006. He played 41 matches and scored three goals during that span.

Musampa made the Dutch under-20 and 21 squads in 1995 and 1997, but has yet to play for the national team.

With the Dutchman, known for his free kicks and dribbling skills, coming to Korea, Seoul appears to have addressed a need for a scorer on free-kick attempts.

In addition, taking the versatile midfielder, who is able to play left wing, should allow Gunes, a Turkish manager, to employ various weapons in his offense.
