Another confirmed Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) patient, a 68-year-old woman, died Tuesday, raising the disease's death toll in Korea to seven, health officials said.
Meanwhile, eight more suspected MERS patients were confirmed to have the disease, bringing that number to 95.
The latest patient to die from MERS contracted the virus at Samsung Medical Center in Ilwon-dong, southern Seoul.
Of the eight new confirmed MERS patients, two contracted the virus from the emergency wards of Seoul Asan Hospital and Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital, and two others were exposed to the 15th confirmed patient at Hallym University Hospital.
