International delegation visits Urim Books

An international delegation visited Urim Books, a Christian publishing house in Seoul, which owns the overseas company, Urim Books USA Inc. in New York, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Manmin Central Church, which is an affiliated organization of the publishing house.

The delegation included Vincent Pala, an incumbent member of the Indian Parliament and former Indian Minister of Water Resources, and Bishop Dr. Paul Musafiri Nalwango, who has served as Attorney General, Vice-Minister of the Interior, Minister of Agriculture and Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is the President of the Pentecostal Association of Central Africa.

According to the list of literary works by the number of translations cited in Wikipedia, the Bible continues to be the most translated book in the world.

The list also includes the following books authored by Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, senior pastor of Manmin Central Church: “The Message of the Cross” (57 languages) and “My Life, My Faith” (35 languages).

The delegation toured the offices of Urim Books and its showroom and read translations of the two books.

Vincent Pala said, "Urim Books is a well organized publishing house to spread the gospel around the world." And the delegation of Vincent Pala and Mr. Noh Kyung-tae, CEO of Urim Books, has visited the Indian embassy to meet Ambassador Kumar Doraiswami. They discussed the mutual cooperation in the fields of economics and culture between the two countries.

Urim Books has published many bestselling books, such as, “Tasting Eternal Life before Death,” “My Life My Faith,” “The Message of the Cross,” “Heaven, Hell, Spirit, Soul and Body,” and “Professions.”

"The book, Professions, a collection of poetry, contains 100 poems that Rev. Dr. Jaerock received from God in deep inspiration of the Spirit," Lee said. "They inspire the readers to feel as though they are living in Biblical times." Initially, the book was published in Korean, and has been a bestseller in the religious section of Kyobo Book Center, the largest book store chain in Korea.

Recently, the publisher’s new book "Abraham, the Friend of God" has been ranked on the bestseller list in the religious section of Kyobo.

Manmin Central Church also celebrated its 33rd anniversary with other guests, including Rev. Dr. Misael Argeñal, the president of Universidad Cristiana de Honduras, which was founded by Ministerio La Cosecha (International Church of the Foursquare Gospel).

H.E. Sylvestre Kouassi Bile, the Cote d’voire Ambassador to Korea, and Lundula Jimmy, the DR of Congo’s Acting Ambassador to Korea, and Korean MP Jun Byung-hun, and Park Young-sun celebrated the church’s anniversary.
