G-Dragon
K-pop idol G-Dragon of popular hip-hop group Big Bang will help bring together modern art and pop culture through an exhibition called “PEACEMINUSONE” at Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) from June 9 to August 23, the singer’s agency YG Entertainment announced Tuesday.
G-Dragon, an icon of music, fashion and design in Korea, wants to help people understand modern art by reinterpreting his cultural vision into the genre.
The star has picked 12 domestic and international artists for the show, including Michael Scoggins, Sophie Clements and James Clar. The exhibition, which includes G-Dragon’s own creations, will present a total of 200 art pieces, including photographs, sculptures, paintings and installations and will also be staged in Shanghai and Singapore.
