Top actor Jang Dong-gun returns to the silver screen for the first time in four years, in a comedy featuring him as a handsome president.

In the film, ``Good Morning President,'' Jang plays the role of President Cha Ji-wook, who, despite his charisma, remains mild mannered with his lovers.

Jang's last film appearance was his starring role in 2005's ``Typhoon.''

In addition to Jang, two other fictional presidents will be featured in the movie _ one who wins a lottery near the end of his presidential term, played by Lee Soon-jae, and another who becomes South Korea's first female president, played by Ko Doo-shim.

Actress Han Chae-young will appear as a spokeswoman for the opposition party, whom President Cha has had a crush on since childhood.

``I've wanted to play a comical role. I'm also pleased to be keeping my promise to act in a touching movie,'' Jang said in a press interview.

Director Jang Jin expressed thanks for Jang's enthusiasm toward the project. Good Morning President will open later this year.
