Last weekend saw the roof of the Korean Internet raised to an all new high. Literally. Netizens were gripped by the story of a young man in his late 20s pitching a tent in front of a crowd of over 2,000 people making him the most-searched term on all Korean portal sites. While the rest of the netizen world was gripped by the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved 13-year-old corgi affectionately known as “Monty” dying, and others on the racist Hollistergate incident catalyzed by koreaBANG, Koreans were more focused on one netizen: “Bug Lv.7.”
