Dunamu, operator of Korea's largest virtual currency exchange Upbit, will host the Upbit D Conference (UDC) in November in Seoul, with the theme "Blockchain: Powering Real World Change," the blockchain firm announced Thursday.
Commemorating the seventh year of the event, the conference was initiated by Dunamu to foster and expand the blockchain ecosystem. Every year, global experts gather to share cutting-edge trends in the industry and suggest future visions at the conference.
This year, sessions will focus on real-world applications of blockchain technology and feature discussion-based formats. Mentoring sessions will also take place, aiming to nurture young talent in blockchain security.
Anybody interested in blockchain is invited to participate. Attendees can expect unique experiences with blockchain technology, such as non-fungible token access passes for the conference.
The event will adopt a hybrid format for the morning sessions, allowing both online and offline participation. Opening and keynote speeches will be streamed on the official UDC YouTube channel.
Offline ticket holders will have access to all programs, including the main sessions, breakout sessions, and special programs. Registration will be available on the official UDC website from Sept. 2 to Oct. 15, closing at 6 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.
UDC started as a developer-focused conference in 2018. It has since evolved into an event open to professionals, industry workers, and students. Over the past six years, more than 23,100 participants have attended, and a total of 190 sessions have been conducted.
