K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together's (TXT) first virtual reality (VR) concert, "HYPERFOCUS," is set to premiere at Megabox COEX in southern Seoul's Gangnam District, July 31.
The quintet's agency, Big Hit Music, unveiled a teaser and a poster on Tuesday to whet its fans' appetite. The teaser features some parts of the performance from TXT's April release "Deja Vu," while the poster highlights the white-clad members against a starry desert backdrop.
TXT will perform a string of its hits such as "Sugar Rush Ride" (2023) and create indelible memories for the audience, Big Hit Music added.
"We decided to stage a VR concert after thinking about different ways to get closer to our fans," the group said in a statement. "Since it was a unique experience for our members (to film this content,) we hope it can make fantastic memories for our followers as well."
The upcoming extravaganza will be produced by AmazeVR, a California-based VR concert platform that previously brought life to the VR shows of the girl group aespa and Kai of the boy band EXO.
"We were able to produce a dynamic concert with upgraded technology, stronger narratives and visual elements," the platform said in a statement. "Please look forward to the synergy that TXT's flawless performances and VR will create."
Following its Seoul premiere, "HYPERFOCUS" will be screened in five U.S. cities, including Los Angeles and Chicago.
TXT, consisting of Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai, debuted in 2019 with the EP "The Dream Chapter: Star." The group is scheduled to put out its fourth Japanese single, "CHIKAI," on July 3.
