North Jeolla Province is offering a tourist pass for visitors to the province to for admission, parking, lodging, eating and shopping with just one card.
Available as of today, the Jeonbuk Tour Pass is similar to the Korea Pass of the National Tourism Corp. and the City Pass of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Tourists can choose one day pass for 6,900 won ($6), two days for 12,900 won or three days for 18,500 won.
The province also provides a one-day ticket for famous tourist destinations such as the Jeonju Hanok Village for 4,200 won. Tourists who purchase the tour pass can take local buses free of charge anywhere in the province. They can use buses up to five times a day, eight times over two days or 11 times over three days.
With the card, visitors can enter some 60 destinations for free. More than 900 franchised restaurants, lodging and shopping facilities offer 10 to 50 percent discounts for card users. The card can be used on internet shopping malls and at major tourist destinations in the province.
Provincial Governor Song Ha-jin said, "We have decided to introduce the new program to link diverse tourist destinations in the province and extend tourists' stays here."
"We seek to attract 35 million tourists in 2017 which we designated as the Year for Visiting Jeonbuk," Song said.
