South Korea's health authorities said Friday that entrants from Russia and three other nations will have to undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine period, even if they are fully vaccinated.
대한민국 보건당국은 금요일 러시아 등 3개국의 입국자들이 코로나19 백신 접종을 완료했더라도 2주간 자가격리를 거쳐야 한다고 밝혔다.
With the addition of the four nations, arrivals from 26 countries will not be able to skip a mandatory 14-day quarantine, they said.
이어 이 4개국이 추가됨에 따라, 26개국에서 들어오는 입국자들은 14일간 자가격리를 생략할 수 없을 것이라고 말했다.
Starting earlier this month, arrivals of those countries who are fully vaccinated have been excluded from the self-isolation policy. However, they are still only allowed to visit South Korea for business, academic or humanitarian purposes.
이달 초부터 코로나 백신 접종을 완료한 국가의 입국자는 자가 격리 방침에서 면제됐다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이들은 사업, 학술, 인도적 사유 목적으로만 한국을 방문할 수 있다.
Under the latest revision, however, four more countries ― including Russia and Uzbekistan ― in addition to 22 other countries that are suffering from a rising number of cases of the more transmissible delta variant, will not be able to skip quarantine.
그러나 최근 개정안에 따라, 전염성이 높은 델타 변이 바이러스 사례가 증가해 고생을 겪는 22개국 외에 러시아, 우즈베키스탄 등 4개국이 추가됐고 이 국가들은 자가 격리를 생략할 수 없게 된다.
On Monday, the country said it has added 719 new delta variant cases over the past week.
한국은 지난 주 동안 719건의 신종 델타 변이 바이러스 사례가 추가됐다고 월요일 밝혔다.
The number of new delta cases accounted for 71.8 percent of 1,001 new cases of four major contagious variants of the new coronavirus reported over the cited period.
해당 기간 동안 보도된 신종 코로나 바이러스 4대 주요 전염성 변이 사례 1001건 중 71.8%는 신종 델타 변이 사례가 차지했다.
Since May, South Koreans who were vaccinated here have also been exempted from the mandatory 14-day isolation period when arriving from overseas. They are still required to receive COVID-19 tests and have no related symptoms to be exempted from mandatory self-isolation. (Yonhap)
지난 5월부터 국내에서 코로나19 백신 접종을 완료한 한국인들도 해외에서 입국할 때 14일간 의무 자가격리 기간을 면제받았다. 이들은 여전히 코로나19 검사를 받아야 하며 의무 자가격리 면제를 받기 위해선 관련 증상이 없어야 한다.
