The Netherlands Olympic team will be wearing FILA sportswear while competing for a medal at the upcoming Winter and Summer Olympics in Asia.
FILA, a listed Korean sports fashion company, has agreed with the Netherlands Olympic Committee to sponsor the Netherlands Olympic athletes until 2022, the company said Monday.
The deal will see the Dutch players compete in FILA sportswear at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
FILA first made a sponsorship deal with the Dutch speed skating federation ― KNSB ― in 2014. The company said it sought to expand its sponsorship in the region.
"The Netherlands' passion for sports and FILA's brand go hand in hand. The company will fully support the Netherlands teams to perform at their best in the international sports galas," FILA Global Chairman Gene Yoon said.
The Netherlands ranked 5th at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, and 11th at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
FILA also sponsors players in World Archery, the Korean speed skating team and Czech tennis player Karolina Pliskova. The Korean sports fashion markets and sells its brand in over 70 countries.
